Here's another recipe that I wanted to share with you, guys! It's called Champorado - more likely a sweetened, chocolate flavored porridge.
It's easy to cook plus the ingredients used can be easily obtained! You can serve it during snacks or breakfast.
Here are the ingredients we need to prepare:
1/3 cup rice
5 to 7 cups water (depends on how thick or thin you want your porridge to be)
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder (or any available chocolate powder, I always us Milo Powdered energy drink)
Chicken flakes (for toppings)
Utensils:
Pot
Laddle
Measuring cups
Kitchen stove
Serving bowl
Upon completing the ingredients and finished preparing the utensils, we will now start cooking our Champorado.
Wear your apron and let's get started!
Procedure:
Boil rice in 5-6 cups of water until soft;
Melt cocoa/chocolate powder in 1 cup of warm water;
Add the mixture and the brown sugar to the porridge and simmer for few more minutes while stirring constantly;
Remove from fire and add the evaporated milk;
Transfer to serving bowl and top with chicken flakes.
So easy, isn't it? Try it out with kids, they will surely love it just like my nieces and nephews.
