“He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our Lord!” (Psalms‬ ‭111:4‬) Let me suggest that the only reason we remember the works of God is because he did works worth remembering. You have that same capacity; you were created in his image, so do memorable things. Do not be intimidated by these thoughts. You are unique, you have talents and skills and gifts that no one else has. You have been blessed to be yourself, to be original. You are not looking to bring glory to your own name, but to God’s. Your efforts might be invisible to the paparazzi and you probably won’t have to worry about them following your every move. But he will. What is wonderful to God? The psalmist writes of grace and mercy. What will be memorable and what will last is the way you love and forgive. Do wonderful works worth remembering.
