Crime and fraud, theft and violence—they are generally attempted with deceit or trickery and under the cover of darkness. The real crime is when we run from God. The one who can provide us with the greatest peace is the one we often try the hardest to avoid. If this is you, change your ways. Do it today. You can’t boldly approach the throne if you are guilty. Humbly confess your wickedness. He can forgive you as quickly and as easily as he created the world; with a word you will be restored. Then you can be bold.
