“When you ask our generous God for wisdom, be sure that your faith is in Him alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.” (James 1:6) Too many people appeal to God for answers but aren’t happy with his reply. Either it doesn’t come fast enough or it’s not the one they want. So they look elsewhere. Are you willing to stand firm in your faith even if you don’t get what you want? Are you willing to trust God—the God who at one time you acknowledged as all-knowing, all-powerful—when life is hard, when you have to suffer? It’s a real question, because I’m seeing wavering everywhere lately. Trials are supposed to build endurance, forming character in the one who is being tried. Christians nowadays seem to use them as excuses to bail out on their responsibilities. Faith abandoned is no faith at all. Thank God that we don’t have to rely on our own strength, but have Jesus to stand in the gap. He is the healer when our hearts are broken. He is loyal when we are not; He forgives when we fail. Thank God. #Jesus #Faith #Thanks
