If you already have good things you desired or some good events that you wanted have already come to pass, you don't hope for them. By the nature of it, hope has to do with things unseen, events that are not yet to be. God is our hope because He exists outside of our time. He is already in our future as well as He is in the present. We don't know what will happen in the future but God does. It is like driving on a very congested road. You are not moving but don't know why. But if someone is flying over the same road in a helicopter, that person can see what is ahead. In the same way, God knows your future. To live out the truth, "God is our hope", is to be guided by the Holy Spirit in the present and remain with (follow) Jesus closely moment by moment. #GodIsHope
