“What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month.” (Luke‬ ‭1:36‬) When the angel told Mary that Elizabeth was going to have a child, it was in the process of confirming that the miracle of her virgin birth was also possible; God is in the business of performing miracles. Note the words Gabriel used: “People used to say she was barren.” And they used to say about you that you were barren—empty and hopeless, incapable of producing goodness and life. But no longer! You are filled with the Holy Spirit of God; the most unlikely miracle of all, and performed in modern times! Let it grow. Feed it. The Spirit comes to do great things, just as John the Baptist and Jesus were born outside the natural order in a divine plan to bring glory to God and wholeness to man. You have this power. Like Mary you may be temporarily confused, but like Mary come to a point of resolution and agreement, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” #miracle #spirit #life
