“May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace.” (Numbers‬ ‭6:24-26‬) Pray this blessing on someone. Better yet, memorize it and say it. Not too many people will turn away a blessing. I think it might actually provide quite a shock—imagine the look on the face of your tax collector or the garbage man. They never get that kind of greeting! Or think of those who you really don’t like. I don’t believe it’s possible to pray to God and hate his creation at the same time. So bless them! They may never know you’re doing it, but you’ll know it. Changing the world starts with you. Your heart may start pounding and you might hyperventilate, but slow down and take a breath. Be a blessing.
