“An inheritance obtained too early in life is not a blessing in the end.” (Proverbs‬ ‭20:21‬) It is not only prodigal sons who blow through their money unwisely. Lots of people struggle financially and in most cases it’s because of poor management and confused priorities. Those who never seem to have enough are the ones who don’t appreciate how much they already have. God blesses us according to how well we honor him; money is not the root of all evil, the love of it is. Sitting around waiting for your ship to come in just leaves you sitting around—life will pass you by as you dream about what could be. The wisdom that comes with age and experience is that money cannot buy happiness. If you are unhappy with the life God has given you, more of it will only make you more unhappy.
