“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” (1 Peter‬ ‭4:8‬) Try to see under the skin—try to see people for who they are, not for who they appear to be. Every person you meet is going through some kind of trial and it’s not likely that you will ever know what it is. But their troubles directly affect you; pain, anger, fear, uncertainty, doubt—the emotions that people try to stuff down and keep buried inside—all come out in one way or the other. Even the forced smile from a passing stranger deprives you of ever knowing just a little bit more of who they are; and the occupants of this crowded world grow more separated and distant. You don’t need to focus on sin, God has already done that. Love over it, cover the sinner with your bigger view that they are a creation of God struggling through the morass of confusion and deceit that Satan has spread all around them. Picture them up to their waists in thick mud as the water rises and they are panicking to reach the shore. You be the shore. Reach out to them and offer your hand, if not literally and physically, then spiritually in prayer. At the very least, include a genuine smile and a kind word. There is a lot of need. And with Jesus you have the resources to save. #Jesusislive #AllAboutGod #EverydayBibleVerse
