Our hope in God is never passive. When we are faced with difficulties and evils, that is when we must choose to hope in God. Praise is the way to keep our hope in God alive. "My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge." (71:15) Remember all that God has done for you, both small and big. Speak out and declare your praise and thanksgiving. Sing songs of praise. Let your heart sing! "I will also praise you with the harp for your faithfulness, O my God; I will sing praises to you with the lyre, O Holy One of Israel. My lips will shout for joy, when I sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed." (71:22-23)
