MAJESTIC BEAUTY OF MAGPUPUNGKO TIDAL AND ROCK POOL, SIARGAO🌊 LOOK: Magpupungko is a natural rock pool located in Pilar, North coast of Siargao Island that is best visited during low tide. Magpupungko Rock Pools are tidal, which means they can only be reached during low tide when they are exposed. For safety reasons, if you arrive at high tide, you will not be able to see or even enter the natural pools. The area is fortified by rock formations that form a large and simply stunning crystal clear swimming pool. Right in front of it is a massive Pacific Ocean waves that have been safely trapped. Because of its amazing gigantic rocks that appear to be squatting on each other, this location is known as “Magpupungko” Rock Pools (pungko- a local term for squat or sitting down.
