“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” (1 Peter‬ ‭4:10‬) If you have any connection at all with God, then you’re much richer than your wildest dreams. Too many people mistakenly allow their worth to be measured by the world—but the world is blind! The Holy Spirit you received upon salvation comes with gifts! You are expected to use them, not just collect them. You are not a safe deposit box. In fact, in the ongoing spiritual battle, I would like to think of you as an unsafe deposit box. Use your gifts! If you don’t know your gifts, search out a formal strengths test—see someone in your church. Or better, ask your friends; they likely already know you better than you do. You’re armed with at least one spiritual gift and it is to be used for your good and God’s glory. Think of the mayhem we could cause to the enemy’s plotting if we all combined forces and worked together, helping God to save the world from its sins instead of watching it swirl down the drain.
