“They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.” (Matthew 2:11a) The normal course of events doesn’t put royal astrologers from a distant land on the path to find a baby born in a stable. Of course they didn’t know he was in a stable which is why they inquired at the palace. But they searched for him wherever he was—and found him. And it’s obvious that there was something extraordinary about this child, the “newborn king of the Jews” referenced in the ancient Scriptures—they knew they were in the presence of holiness and bowed down and worshiped his majesty. How far will you go to find him? Jesus said, “If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” It seems he doesn’t quickly reveal himself to halfhearted searchers. Wise men still seek him. The men in the story opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts. Today you can open your heart and give him yourself. You are the treasure he really wants. #Jesus #Christmas #Gift
