#Terra stated that with its native #LUNA token and #UST stable coin in free fall, it stopped its blockchain for the second time in 24 hours. In a message published at 22:13 eastern time, Terra announced that its #blockchain "officially stopped at block 7607789." "Terra Validators stopped the network to develop a plan to restore it. There will be other updates" The blockchain was first suspended on May 12 due to concerns that it had become vulnerable to attacks. Then the Terra developers announced at 14:05 eastern time that the production of blocks had resumed, albeit with staking disabled. The crisis in Terra was provoked when its algorithmic stablecoin UST canceled the peg to the US dollar. Now it is about 0.19 USD according to #Binance, despite desperate attempts to restore the binding by releasing huge volumes of LUNA. Luna's (LUNA) turnover offer exceeded 25 billion on May 12, with minting reaching an unprecedented level as Terraform Labs CEO Do Kwon and others try to ease the pressure from UST sellers. On the morning of May 13, the number of LUNA tokens has grown to 1.15 trillion, which seems like utter madness.
