The American company #CleanSpark has announced that it is acquiring a #bitcoin mining site in Georgia with a capacity of 36 MW of installed equipment for $ 16.2 million. The company intends to immediately start increasing the mining equipment fleet in order to bring the used capacity to 86 MW. The seller of the platform with 3.4 thousand machines was the bitcoin miner Waha Technologies. The equipment itself cost CleanSpark $8.9 million. The installed equipment will add another 1.1 Eh/s to the total corporate CleanSpark hashrate, that is, it will increase it by 38%. CleanSpark is actively investing in the purchase of miners: in June, it acquired 1.8 thousand miners, in July — another 1,061 thousand. Another American company, Cipher Mining, announced that it has completed the process of installing #mining farms on its site, which has its own wind power generation with a capacity of 40 MW. The organization expects that they will be able to extract up to 5.7 #BTC daily using this platform. In addition, Cipher Mining continues to implement a large-scale program to invest in four new sites in Texas. Currently, it has started installing mining equipment on one of them (205 MW) and plans to complete this process by the end of this year. In 2023, Cipher Mining intends to add up to 200 MW of energy capacity to another of the sites thanks to a partnership with a local company WindHQ, which generates electricity from solar energy. It is planned to expand cooperation with this company to other locations of Cipher Mining equipment in the USA.
