Certified accountant Gordon Brad Beckstead from Nevada admitted: he participated in the activities of one of the largest scam projects in the crypto market, Bitclub. In total, Gordon helped launder $722 million to fraudsters. Recall that Bitclub was a project that existed in 2014-2019, offering users to invest in #cryptocurrency mining. However, the team did not choose an honest path – in fact, the mining pool turned out to be a fake. Beckstead played an active role in the life of Bitclub, filling out false income declarations and creating one-day companies. With the help of the latter, he hid the participation of the project manager, Matthew Brent Goethe, in Bitclub. In total, for tax offenses and money laundering, Gordon faces a fine of $600,000 and 23 years in prison.
