On July 14, 2022, information appeared on the network that the #Celsius cryptolanding platform had filed for bankruptcy. The event was preceded by the suspension of the withdrawal of funds from the project's clients. Due to the lack of centralized regulation, many companies feel too at ease. Celsius' comment that the ban on actions with accounts is dictated by concern for customers who would not have time to withdraw funds in time does not stand up to any criticism. In my opinion, the company had the opportunity to try to solve the issue with the least losses for users. One of their competitors, Nexo, was ready to buy out the assets of Celsius. Such a deal would help maintain the reputation of the industry in a difficult period of time. However, the time-limited offer was rejected. How did Celsius try to solve the issue? They were looking for external investors, hoping that the new capital would make it possible to settle accounts receivable, and the company would be able to continue its activities. This is a very ambitious assumption considering that back in May Celsius managed assets of almost $12 billion, and in June they had $167 million to support liquidity. What investors in their right mind will give money in such a situation?!
