Since the activation of the #Bellatrix update, there has been a significant increase in the share of missed blocks in the #Ethereum network that the #network could not verify. This indicator increased by 1,700% after the update took effect. Usually, only 0.5% of all blocks do not pass verification the first time. On Tuesday, the indicator increased to 9%. This problem may be due to the fact that almost 24% of node operators have not updated their software. Validators should update their nodes before the final transition to PoS, which will take place next week (September 13-15). Any operator that does not do this will not be able to send #ETH or work on the Ethereum network after the merger. The increase in the share of missed blocks should not affect the timing of the merger. Updating will not be possible if less than 66% of node operators update their software.
