The Ukrainian #bank Unex Bank, together with the #Mastercard payment system and the fintech company Weld, has issued the country's first #cryptocurrency card called the weld card. The bank card is linked to a wallet for storing digital assets created in the Weld Mopeu service. At the time of payment for a purchase or service, Weld Mopeu converts the coins stored in the account into fiat currency and transfers the money to Unex Bank. At the moment, the weld card only works with #Tether (USDT) stablecoins, but in the near future they promise to add support for bitcoins and altcoins. The bank does not charge a fee for issuing a card, however, a commission of 1.5% and an additional UAH 5 is charged for withdrawing cash from an ATM and transferring fiat currency to other accounts. In addition, the owners of the weld card have the right to exchange cryptocurrency worth no more than 10,000 hryvnia per day (1600 rubles). Recently, #Ukraine took the third place in the ranking of countries in the world in terms of the degree of demand for cryptocurrencies, prepared by specialists of Chainalsis. Russia finished only in ninth place, and Vietnam and the Philippines were in the top three.
