The Ethereum exchange rate reached a five-month high above $4,200 today. Analysts do not rule out that in the near future the cryptocurrency will try to test record levels, which are now 3.8% short. So, CoinDesk analyst Amkar Godboul notes that the ether convincingly broke the downtrend line connecting the highs of May and September. Bitcoin overcame similar resistance this month, after which it reached a new high of about $67,000. Option market participants, meanwhile, are gaining long-term bullish bets. Options with a strike of $15,000 and expiration on March 25, 2022 are in significant demand. "The market's long-term focus is shifting from BTC to ETH amid the potential launch of ETFs on ETH after BTC along with the ETH 2.0 catalyst," says trading firm QCP Capital. According to the Derebit exchange, call options with a strike of $15,000 have the highest open interest among all contracts with expiration in March 2022. "We are seeing a combination of cash flows from buyers and sellers. This is good and indicates the presence of a cross market, while people take both sides in the issue of the possibility of $15,000," said Genesis Volatility co-founder Greg Magadini. #CryptoTrading
