The hacking of the #Ronin Network dealt a significant blow to the tokens of blockchain games of the "play-to-earn" model (P2E). This was reported in the newsletter by Kaiko analysts. According to their calculations, the portfolio of the top four #P2E tokens in percentage payback began to lag significantly behind the top 5 cryptocurrencies by #capitalization starting from March 1. In general, as noted in Kaiko, all major assets from the P2E area have fallen in price by about 70% compared to the highs of November 2021. It is worth noting that most cryptocurrencies have somehow significantly rolled back from the November records of last year. At the time of writing the material: #Bitcoin (#BTC) has collapsed by ~40% from a maximum of ~$69,000. Now the price of BTC is $41,360. Ether (#ETH) has collapsed by ~39% from a maximum of ~$4,900. Now the price of ETH is $3090. #Binance coin (#BNB) has collapsed by ~39% from a maximum of ~$690. Now the price of BNB is $420. At the end of March, it became known that the Ronin Network was hit by a hacker attack, as a result of which the attackers managed to withdraw 173,600 ETH and 25.5 million USDC. Later, the US authorities said that North Korean hackers of the Lazarus group were also involved in the attack. The developers of the Axie Infinity video game based on Ronin Network have already been able to collect a considerable amount from investors to return money to some of the affected users. However, the platform knows that it has a long way to go to recover at least part of the stolen amount. According to Alexander Larsen, chief Operating Officer of Sky Mavis, part of the funds will be returned over the next two years. According to him, two years is the most optimal time to get more information.
