A Twitch user in July showed a hamster named Mr. Gox, who "trades" cryptocurrency. The owner of the rodent built a special cage for him with tunnels and a wheel connected to optical sensors. If the pet runs through the right tunnel, then the currency is sold, and if it runs through the left tunnel — it is bought. In three months, the animal was able to increase the portfolio by almost a quarter. At the same time, the S&P 500 index declined, and bitcoin collapsed. Traders usually call inexperienced investors hamsters, who buy on the growth of the market and sell on the fall, and as a result lose money. But one of the twitchers decided to entrust the trade to a real rodent-a hamster named Mr. Gox. To introduce the hamster into the business, the owner created a special cage for him, where, in addition to bowls with water and food, there is also a running wheel and two tunnels. Inside the wheel and tunnels are optical sensors connected to the Arduino Nano hardware platform. When the animal turns the wheel, the system randomly selects one of the 30 crypto assets. Then the rodent gets off and runs through one of the two tunnels. If Mr. Gox runs to the left, the program sells the coin, and if to the right, it buys. All transactions are sent in real time to Twitter and Reddit. Also, the life of a hamster is broadcast on Twitch. #CryptoTrading
