According to the data, Ukraine is preparing to legalize payment for goods and services in cryptocurrencies. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Alexander Bornyakov. According to him, the country will accept the digital hryvnia and cryptocurrencies as a legal means of payment. This is stated in the new law, which is now being prepared for adoption in the second reading. The "Bill on virtual assets" will allow crypto owners to protect their investments in virtual assets, will open legal exchange and storage, and will also allow the market of intermediaries to develop, which will create the opportunity to pay for goods and services using cryptocurrencies. This will expand the adoption of this type of asset and make it more familiar to use. The Deputy Minister noted that at the same time it is not necessary to treat the new legislation as a 100% guarantee of the protection of your investments. It is also necessary to be attentive and responsible to the approach of investments, because not only the digital world, but also the fiat world is not immune from fraud. The "Bill on virtual assets" will also amend the admission to work by private crypto exchanges on the territory of Ukraine. Cryptocurrency exchanges will have to gain access to trading in the country through a work permit. According to the deputy minister, this process will be a little easier than simple licensing of exchanges, and the necessary conditions will be quite affordable. To do this, it will only be necessary to have a certain amount of capital and not fall under the sanctions list of the founders of the site. After the introduction of these measures, the citizens of Ukraine will be able to address the regulators with comments and complaints to the crypto-exchange platforms. The cryptocurrency sector will be monitored by three regulators — the Ministry of Finance, the NBU and the National Securities and Exchange Commission. Mandatory user verification will also be introduced, which will create a completely open crypto turnover in the country. #Cryptocurrency
