In May, for a short time, BTC stocks on crypto exchanges increased, but then they began to decline and reached an annual minimum on September 26. BTC stocks on exchanges In March 2020, the total number of bitcoins on all exchange addresses reached a historic high of 3,118,057 BTC (black arrow). Since then, this on-chain indicator has been steadily declining. During the drawdown on April 11, a minimum of 2,494,840 was recorded. This means that at that time investors were actively buying bitcoins on exchanges, withdrawing them from trading platforms. After the fall of the BTC exchange rate in May, the number of coins on the accounts of crypto exchanges began to grow. This could be a reflection of the desire of investors to transfer their coins to exchanges for sale. Then the on-chain indicator began to decline again and formed a decreasing minimum of 2,452,843 on September 29. This picture can be seen more clearly with a closer look at the dynamics since May. The chart below shows that the indicator was growing in May, when BTC sank to $30,000. However, since July, bitcoin began to grow (the black circle), and against this background, the stocks of coins at exchange addresses were declining again. #CryptoTrading
