A well-known Chinese journalist and blockchain researcher Colin Wu accused the #FTX #cryptocurrency exchange of a new policy of intolerance to protocols related to data privacy. In addition to the transactions of the Tornado Cash mixer, which fell under US sanctions, the platform blocked the accounts of customers who withdrew cryptocurrency to the ZK Money account. The FTX exchange has identified this service of the Aztec #Network project as a mixer and warned users about the possible blocking of the account. The CEO of the company did not agree with the information of Colin Wu, rejecting the assumption of targeted blocking of accounts when working with any transaction anonymizer. He claims only to block transactions for #verification. In response, Wu presented the facts in the form of screenshots of the correspondence between the Support Service and the client who lost access to all funds. The journalist also cited the point of view of Aztec Network representatives on this issue. The service reported that it fulfills all AML requirements, identifies wallet addresses from the "blacklist".
