The EtherumPow (#ETHW) team announced plans to launch a blockchain supporting mining within 24 hours after the transition of the main #Ethereum network to the Proof-of-Stake protocol. The exact start time of the network will be announced 1 hour before the event with the countdown timer turned on, the developers said in a message on Twitter. The Ethereum #update is expected to take place on September 15 and will mean the termination of #mining of the leading #altcoin. In this regard, the crypto community has divided into two camps: some of the participants support the concept of stacking proposed by the developers, and the other part remains committed to the version of the network based on mining. The initiator of the #EtherumPow project was the famous Chinese miner Chandler Guo, who announced the development of a hard fork on July 27 of this year. This is not the first time he supports saving the old version of Ethereum. In 2016, when the "Ethereum Classic" (#ETC) emerged as a result of the hard fork, the Chinese miner was the main supporter of its creation. At the time of the launch of EtherumPow, the final code, program files, system configuration, node data, and other information about the #blockchain will be made public. First, EthereumPoW will launch 2048 empty blocks to ensure successful switching to the new #network and prevent duplication of blocks on ETH and on ETHW. #CryptoCurrency #HardFork #Fork
