After jumping to a high above $45,000 earlier in the week, bitcoin prices fell for the third session in a row as bullish pressure appears to have subsided. BTC/USD fell to an intraday low of $41,892.20 on Saturday after peaking at $43,810.83 during yesterday's session. After trying to overcome the $44,750 resistance on Thursday, bitcoin's price strength weakened, approaching the oversold zone. The 14-day Relative strength Index (RSI) is currently at 54 after peaking at 65 just two days ago. This level of 54 seems to be a short-term floor, forcing many to wait and see if it holds, which may encourage bulls to keep open positions. Despite the current bearish sentiment in the markets, price momentum, especially short-term, is still trending upward, with BTC/USD still rising slightly over the past seven days. Bears will certainly continue to test this trend.
