On this winter holiday when I decided to surprise my kids with a special gift. I had always talked about getting chickens and now seemed like the perfect time. I headed to the local farm supply store and picked out a few fluffy chicks. As I drove home, I noticed that the roads were unusually quiet. It was the school holidays and traffic was usually much heavier at this time. I realized that the winter break must have kept many people at home, allowing for a smoother drive. When I arrived home, my kids were overjoyed to see the chicks. They eagerly helped me set up a warm and cozy home for the new additions to the family. Over the next few weeks, the kids took turns caring for the chicks, feeding them and cleaning their pen. As the winter weather began to warm up, the chicks grew bigger and stronger. my kids were thrilled to watch them grow and learn more about raising animals. It was a memorable holiday season that me and my family would always treasure.
