Have you ever find that there is nothing to eat at your house? Well, You are not alone, but at least you are lucky because you will eventually get something in your refrigerator. But many people do not eat for days because they live on the street. People are starving right now. People use the term “starving" loosely, but do we really know what it is like to starve?
Poverty has been described as the number one health problem for many poor nations, as they do not have the resources to meet the growing needs, Half of the world, nearly three billion people. Live on less than two dollars a day. That just shows how much money the government is putting into this worldwide problem. Yet the government spent so much money on non-relevant projects, which could cost a huge amount of money. That could have been used to help many families with children who need the food to survive. The money could also be used to help third world countries that are overcome with poverty.
To provide the world,s sanitation, and food requirements, it would cost not far more than $13 billion, hardly as much as the people of some great nations spend every year on dresses or jewelry. As matter of fact, the total wealth of the world,s three richest people is greater than the combined gross domestic product of close to 50 poorest countries, a quarter of all the world,s states. It is safe to say that a great amount of money is being put to waste in this world.
A lot of people think that it is the homeless people,s fault for living on the street, but even a job at some fancy hotel could not earn them that much money to pay for an apartment, As most worker would have to work for 87 hours each week to afford an apartment at 30% of their income. The remaining 70% of their income would then go to their child if they had one, groceries, bus fare, and other miscellaneous stuff.
A lot of factors contribute to the problem of poverty and that of homelessness. The lack of employment has a huge effect on the people as they cannot earn enough money to be on their own and onto a better life. The shortage of affordable housing is also a factor cause of homelessness. Children who were born homeless are likely to remain homeless as adults due to a lack of education. These families are constantly moving, So they do not have a permanent address to get onto school without transferring often. Hence, they do not acquire enough education. They cannot be out there in the real world and get a satisfying job to support themselves.
It seems to me that the real thing people need is a home. They do not need all this money given to them, but just a home.
In some cases. The homeless people are not born to the streets, but they were forced to turn to the street, Some are forced to turn to the street because of poverty or violence.
Some steps are being taken to try and help the families in need. There are so many homeless shelters worldwide; which provide food, shelter, and clothing. But a lot of the shelters have a certain number of days that a person can stay. The shelters help homeless people until they can get back on their feet.
There are a lot of foundations helping with the problem of poverty, such as The Bill $ Melinda Gates Foundation, which is an organization that works to fight hunger. Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) which focus on defeating hunger, and many more.
Poverty can not just go away. That is just way too difficult for the world to deal with. They do not see it as an easy solution, but it is not a hard one, either. Though A lot of money needs to be invested in helping this problem, and it may seem like a waste of money, but do you know how much money does go to waste? Money which could be used to solve the world,s economic problems are used for entertainment.
There is no problem facing the world today is more urgent than hunger. For the problem to be solved to the end. Cooperation from the government is needed to fund the shelters and the company's money to help the homeless. It would not be an easy task. But the world can fix it. There is not much one person can do to help the starving world. But we can always try and get involved to help the homeless in our area by Volunteering at homeless shelters.
But if someone wants to make a huge difference. they should make it to the boards of the law and get them to pass laws that will support the homeless and help them out. But so many people just ignore the fact, that there are people who do not have homes, not like them, they do not have the shelter and security they need, And they are unaware of the homeless that live around them.
