Give or Take?
The world is characterized by a series of giving and taking activities, directly or indirectly. How right? Well, in the business space, money has to be spent for goods and desired properties to be acquired, because anyone who wants to take a good, must give a payment. Yes. How about professionals? They give or offer services with the expectation of being paid in return, even though you could argue that some professionals are magnanimous enough to not want to be paid in return. Have you ever wondered why you need to dedicate a lot of time and energy to get a work done? It's simple! You have to give work, before you can take money! As the breadwinner of a family, to ensure that your home is devoid of lack, you have to engage yourself in series of activities that would have rewards- in cash. More interestingly, if you want electricity your electricity bills have to be paid. You want to live in a house? you have to pay, whether on rentage or to absolutely own it. Give it before you can take it! It is certainly daunting in realization to discover that, in almost all activities of life, there is a portion of giving and taking. The government space is not left out. We could argue that the citizens are being over taxed and all, but guess what, the government through the taxes and tariffs has found away to take back from the citizens, after supposedly giving to the society, amenities and economic resources. It is even more surprising that this "giving and taking" applies to our nature and very own existence. It rains, after the atmosphere has taken a lot of evaporated water from the earth, in what was one of the most amazing discoveries of nature. God, the most supernatural being, as many know it, gave mankind dominion over things of the earth. Mankind in turn, gives God the worship befitting such an amazing show of power and opportunity. It'd not be less convincing to say with all assurance and certainty that this universe is made up, was made up and has been made up of series of giving and taking. But, is one more important than the other? None is more important than the other. One needs the other as much as the other does. Think about it! Your bank account will be penniless if you don't do things to fill it up. This equal and two-way cycle theory of giving and taking arguably and mysteriously creates a balance in this world that sees a lot of activities being performed on a daily basis.
