The Day I Almost Gave Up... And What Saved Me* Last month I was sitting on my bed in Delta State My account balance was ₦200. My data just finished. And I had 3 tabs open: "how to make money online", "side hustles in Nigeria", and "jobs near me". I was tired. I told myself "Asa, maybe this online thing is not for you. Maybe you should just go and look for 9-5." That was the day I almost gave up. *The Breaking Point* The worst part wasn’t even the ₦200. The worst part was that there was no help from anyone. When I needed people the most, family rejected me. I felt like I had just been left all alone in this world. That night I cried and said "God, is this what my life will be like? Struggling alone?" I almost deleted everything. I almost quit the internet hustle completely. *The Three Things That Saved Me The next Morning* *1. Nature* I woke up and saw the sun rising. I was like... if this sun can go down at night and still rise in the morning, then definitely I will rise up one day too. *2. Perspective* I thought about life. I’m better off than people that died. I’m still breathing. I still have a chance. *3. Belief in Myself* I believe in myself. That I’m a strong person. And I’m gonna make it. That was the day I decided: Asa, you’re not quitting. *Final Word* If you’re reading this and you feel alone too, please don’t give up. The sun rises every morning. And so will you.
