Is Nigeria the African Syria?

The recent protest that has been going on in Nigeria have made people worried that Nigeria may just become that African Syria due to the way people get killed in the process of a protest. The killing have so far been a two way thing, protesters killing police people and police people killing protesters. Even after what the protesters demanded was granted, they refused to stop the protest, making many people think they are only out there to fight.
