Jupiter has 79 Moons Out of 79 moons 4 moons are the largest in size and they are called as "Galilean Moons" They were discovered in 1690. •GANYMEDE This is the largest moon and largest in our solar system. This is most interesting to our study because it has largest size ever and it's internal has many layers. This moon has largest ocean and it's water is more than oceans on Earth. It has its own magnetic field. •LO Size is comparable to our moon and it's surface is composed of sulfur dioxide. It has small amount of water. •Gallisto It is oldest moon in of Jupiter. EURPOIA •Europia has warmer oceans. Scientists find these moons of Jupiter and study deeply. Such a huge moons how they are located in Jupiter. All are 79 but 4 moons have largest in size.
