Leo Lay, the Lion As the sun set over the savannah, a lone lion named Leo lay in the shade of an acacia tree. His once-majestic mane now matted and dull, his eyes sunken with hunger. He thought of his pride, scattered and lost in the harsh drought that had ravaged their land. Leo's stomach growled with emptiness, his paws aching from the long journey in search of food. He remembered the days when his roar echoed across the plains, when his pride looked up to him with admiration. Now, he was just a shadow of his former self. The wind whispered through the grass, and Leo's ears perked up, hoping to catch the sound of prey. But there was only silence. As the stars began to twinkle, Leo closed his eyes, his heart heavy with despair. He wondered if he would ever find his pride again, if he would ever feel the warmth of the sun on his back, or the thrill of the hunt. The lion's mighty roar was reduced to a faint whisper, lost in the vast expanse of the savannah. Leo's story was one of struggle, of survival, of a king's fading glory.
