No boyfriend Since Birth I'm 22 years old and single, and I'm perfectly happy with my situation. Most people I knew in this age have been in a relationship or experienced being in a relationship. They told me that being single is lonely while being in a relationship is one of the happiest moments that could happen in my life. Don't get me wrong, I understand their happiness and desire to share it. It did, however, It make me feel isolated and uneasy. I was tortured by my inability to find a mate, and all I could think about was my lack of connection. I was often thinking to myself, "Will I ever find someone?" while I was around my friends. Will I ever be able to experience the same joy that others do? I didn't think it was possible at the moment. I had never been in a relationship since birth. As a result, I entirely understand their point of view. It can be quite difficult to bear with the feeling of being "forever alone." However when I knew someone in a relationship being broken-hearted by their partner having an affair with someone or cheating, It reminded me of how lucky I was to never rush into something that needs a long term commitment. The point I'm trying to impart here is that we should be content with our self. Our twenties are an excellent time to figure out who we are as a person, what we excel at, and where we need to improve. I know the right guy will come along eventually, and I'll be glad I waited. Until then, I will take advantage of the freedom that comes with being single and work toward some of my personal objectives.
