I am not

When i ask you whather you are god gandharva yaksha or human, you say No if I am a god, i must have sense desires if i am a gandharva, i must have sense desires if i am a yaksha i must have sense desires if i am a human being i must have sense desires but i eradicated all that fully therefore i am not a god i am not a gandharva i am not a yaksha i am not a human being like other human beings. So who are you? "I am awake"

The Buddha's statement implied the he once was asleep to be asleep is to be unaware of one's present state or nature. Indeed there is so much about ourselves and the world that we do not understand if we could be awaken we would also each of us a potential buddha and each of us has the awake nature we need to work at realizing this state
