With the war still going on, Russian banks continue to expand their range of services in an attempt to continue to provide their basic services outside the global banking networks from which they have been frozen out from. Now the Russian will be able to use Gazprom Pay instead of Apple and Google Pay. As previously reported, a number of Russian banks and their cards have been frozen out of digital payment platforms such as Apple Pay and Google Pay in line with Western sanctions. But the banks are responding with a number of solutions, including a new service from Gazprom bank, the bank branch of the state-controlled energy giant Gazprom. I wonder if this type of developments will help trigger the change in the economic power of the world as many are talking about right now after Ray Dalios videos released.
