The amount of waste we produce as a species is actually quite amazing. I do all I can, and have done so for most of my life to recycle things in any way I can, both from using the city recycling program as well as reusing things wherever it is practical to do so. For example, I have never bought plastic containers. I instead just reuse the ones I get from sour creams, butters, cottage cheese and whatever else. I think it makes a small difference for sure.
