Childhood

I grew up in PASIG,CITY during a time when everyone treated each other like family. Everyone's mom was called Nanay and everyone's dad was called Tatay even if there was no relation 👫 We went outside to play in the streets and we get dirty till the sun went down. We didn't eat hamburger, fries or pizza. 🍟🍔.We ate freshly home-made food like ginataan lugaw or just plain pritong saging na saba. 🍛 We bought ice cream from the mamang sorbetero who rings his bell when passing each street. Otherwise, a homemade ice candy from the freezer was always a welcome treat. We played trumpo. tumbang preso, agawan base 🏸, sipa👣, seto💃, 🌳, basketball🏀 , patintero🏃luksong baka, jolen, teks, tansan, sigay, sumpit, step no step yes, hide en seek, bahay bahayan🏠, langit lupa☀☁, and touch ball. There was no bottled water🍶; we drank water from the tap🚰. We had no kids tv channels - just Voltes V, Daimos, Mazinger Z and Grendizer 📺, and we rode our bikes 🚲 for hours 🕰. There was no such thing as a mobile phone or any other electronic device, but just 2 cans at each end of a string as telephone 📵. We frolicked in the streets during storms or flooding. We weren't AFRAID OF ANYTHING. If someone had a fight, that's what it was, a fist fight👊. Kids then didn't have guns🔫 or knives🔪.The street lights 💡were your curfew or until your mother called out from the window for you to go home. School was mandatory, but you'd still wag a couple of lessons every now and then ✏️📒. We watched our mouths especially around our elders👴🏼👵🏼 who taught us the value of respect. Re-post if you're proud 👉😁 that you came from a close knit community 👭👬👫and you will never forget where you came from! .💓💓💓😂😆 Copy & Paste just change where you were brought up😏😊☺🙂I REALLY REALLY MISS MY CHILDHOOD DAYS AND WISHED that ALL KIDS had the same experiences...Kami ang BATANG 90's
