@Alther more from that month

No one is truly “alive” in the present. We breathe, but we’re not aware. We laugh, but we’re not present. We speak, but we don’t hear. The body is here. Thoughts are in the past. Fears are in the future. Life isn’t just a heartbeat. Life is awareness. And awareness is expensive—it demands a pause from the hustle and bustle, from notifications, from the ego hungry for praise. Ironically, in our most connected age, we are the most disconnected—from ourselves. Perhaps those who are truly alive are not the busiest, but those who dare to pause, feel, and acknowledge: that this one second will never come back. Because life doesn’t happen “later.” It only happens now.
