Technology does provide both exciting and disturbing changes to education. On the positive side, it has eliminated the four walls of the traditional classroom; knowledge now flows freely to anyone connected. Students learn from anywhere around the globe and with algorithms guiding them to their own pace. The very same set of tools can distract students, leading to a narrower attention span and greater dependence on instant answers. Therefore, the challenge today is not getting information but finding methods to think critically in its barrage—turning data into understanding, and connection into genuine interest.
