CashTokens, Barcelona’s Conference, and Tether’s Exit from BCH The Bitcoin Cash (BCH) ecosystem stands on a most important juncture: on the one side, technical innovations are advancing with the launch of CashTokens, a very big upgrade in decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and stablecoins on the BCH chain; on the other side, somewhat fast-moving but bittersweet headlines: Tether (USDT) has officially declared that support will stop for the SLP (Simple Ledger Protocol) on BCH by September 1, 2025.

The departure of Tether from BCH's very old SLP layer leaves no vacuum for weakness; it is nothing but change. Bitcoin Cash is now proving its worth beyond being only a fast peer-to-peer money. It's really turning into a base-layer for decentralized finance, stable digital assets, and scalable applications with CashTokens. It is a shift-the technical shift; it is a philosophical one-proving to everybody in the world that a real electronic cash system is independent and free of centralized actors.
