Emotions and Cryptocurrency: Between the Soul and the System Emotions are something that cannot be faked. They are born from the deepest parts of the human soul, shaped by experiences that leave scars, memories that linger, longings that suffocate, losses that paralyse, love that warms, beliefs that strengthen, traumas that leave marks, and happiness that is so liberating. And all of these elements come together to form humanity as beings who are not merely rational but also emotional. On the other hand, cryptocurrency emerged as a symbol of a new era promising freedom, sovereignty over assets, and rebellion against a financial system long controlled by a select few elites. And here lies one thing cryptocurrency cannot provide humanity: the depth of emotion. Cryptocurrency is not love. Because cryptocurrency has no heartbeat, cannot understand the meaning of loss, and will never grasp the significance of tears or even a simple laugh. Cryptocurrency is merely a product of cold, rational, and mathematical algorithms. In a world growing increasingly chaotic and uncertain, cryptocurrency does not come as an escape, nor as a connection to the soul. Crypto seeks to divert attention from inner turmoil, not to heal it definitively. Unfortunately, many have turned to crypto as an escape, whether from the pressures of life, economic injustice, or simply seeking meaning in a world that grows increasingly absurd each day. Yet, ultimately, crypto remains an empty space that cannot fill the void of the soul. Amidst the digital euphoria and promises of the virtual world, let us not forget that what makes us truly human is emotion. Something that cannot be traded, decentralised, or mined. Because, in the end, what unites humanity is not the blockchain hailed as the future of the world, but emotion. Where emotion can awaken us to the true existence of humanity as a whole. -===-
