These masked youngins on TikTok flexing by posting videos of slick Tokyo cityscapes while masked, have zero understanding of what built the cityscape, or how powerless they are to affect any true change to it. They flex like they’re “part of it.” But the truth is they are tourist peons whose extorted labor and forced submission has built it for strangers infinitely farther up than them in the class system. Now all they have is a desperate need to identify with their oppressor. Make no mistake. It is all beautiful and shiny and towering and wonderful and slick and LED and exciting and human-potential-displaying greatness. And who doesn’t love a glittering sexy mega fucking skyline? But at the end of the day, if you haven’t been to the lonely mountains, you will never understand why you must be a credit card slave to see and take photos of such things, or why the people who ordered the urban mecca be built in the first place can live on your blood 🩸 Because that is exactly what they are doing. #Anarchy
