When everyone have a hard time living. Just take a look of this caterpillar, think of how difficult to live as a caterpillar. The danger it got to face. Especially with chickens, they would be a snacks for them. I picked this outside. It had eaten all the leaves of my sister's plant. I have to remove it quickly to save them both, the plant gor this caterpillar and the caterpillar for the chicken walking towards it.
