Karma Whence is my life? Whither does it depart? I sit alone in my hut. And miditate quietly yet earnestly. With all my thingking I know no whence, Nor do I come to any whither. So is it witj my present, Eternally changing all Emptiness! In this Emptiness is the Ego for a while With its Yeas and Nays. I know noy just where to set them up, I follow my karma as it moves with perfect contentment. What ist the practical outcome of this philosophy of "not knowing anything" and living karma. Whatever this may be,tonits working? In short,what is life of absolute passivity or dependence or emptiness? His grass hut was most unpretentions one,indeed just large enough for himself. ❤AILJHE❤

Gogõ Gogõ which means half of a shõ (less than one quart) of rice. an amount considered enough for one full grown man for day support. This solitary hut named Gogõ resembles a hanging bell in shape. It stands sorrounded by the cedars growing thick,while a few poems decorate the inside walls. The cooking - pot is sometimes found covered with dust.and smoke often fails to issue from the hearth,the lonely visitor is an old man of the eastern village.who occasionally knocks at the door when the moon is bright. One autumnal eve I was wakeful,took a staff and went out of doors.the crickets were singing under the ancient tiles,the dead leaves were fast falling off the shivering trees.far away the stream was heard murmuring,the moon was slow to rise above the high peak.all conspired to draw me on to a deep meditation,and it was some time before I found my robe heavily wet with dew. ❤AILJHE❤

Buhay ng isang kusinero Buhay ng isang kusinero... Simula nung bata pa ako di ko po inambisyon na maging isang kusinero ang pangarap ko po ay maging isang public servant maging isang pulis...pero sa kasamaang palad di po ako nkapg tapos ng kursong pagka pulis...ako po ay natigil sa aking pag aaral...ako po ay napadpad sa pag tratrabaho sa isang restaurant sa tulong po ng aking kaibigan... Sa una po di po agad naging madali para sken. naging dishwasher po muna ako kasi wala pa po ako karanasan sa kusina hanggang natuto na po ako magluto sa tulong narin po ng mga kusinero na tinuturuan ako araw araw kung panu magluto... The principle of cha-no-yu is the spirit of harmonious blending of heaven and earth and provides the means for stablishing universal peace.people of the present time have turned it into a mere occasion for meeting friends,talking of worldy affairs, and indulging in palatable food and drinks.besides,they are proud of their elegantly furnished tearooms,where sorrounded by rare objects of art,they would serve tea in a most accomplished manner,and deride those who are not so skillfull as themeselves.this is,however far being the original intention of cha-no-yu. For this reason,the principle animating the tearoom,from its first construction down to the choice of the tea utensils,the tecnique of service the cooking of food wearing apparel and etc.is to be sought in the avoidance of complicated ritual and mere ostentation.the implements maybe old,but the mind can be invigorated. so that itbis ever fresh and ready to respond to the changing seasons and the varying views resulting therefrom.it never curries favor,it is never covetous.never inclined to extravagance,but always watchful and considerate for others.the owner of such mind is naturally gentle-mannered and always sincere---this is cha-no-yu. Aloneness of the absolute State of mind while looking out quietly from a far. The court is left covered,with the fallen leaves of the pine trees.no dust is stirred anf calm is my mind. The moonlight far up in the sky,looking through the eaves.shines on a minf undisturbed with remorse. The snow-covered mountain path,winding through the rocks has come to its end.here stands a hut the master is all alone no visitors he has nor are any expected. It is indeed a mind pure,serene and free from disturbing emotions that can enjoy the aloneness of the absolute.

One and the same breeze passes,over the pines on the mountain and the oak trees in the valley ,and why do they give different notes? Hut The hut leaks when it rains and I am wet.I think of the kindly visits of the moonlight. Is the moonlight to leak?are the showers to patter?our thoughts are divided.and this humble hut to be thatched or not to be thatched. When the dead leaves are falling thick,as I sit quietly at night in my room.difficult it is to judge whether it is showering or whether it is not showering. Zen What is zen? Zen is one of the products of the chinese mind after its contact with indian thought.which was introduced into china in the first century A.D. through the medium of buddhism teachings.one of the first thing zen accomplished in china.as soon as it had gathered its forces and was strong enough to stand by itself.was to establish a special form of monasticism quite distint from the older kind of monkish living.zen is not necessarily against words,but it is well aware of fact that they are liable to detach themselves from realities and turn into conceptions.zen is discipline in enlightenment.Enlightenment means is emancipation is no less than freedom. How about the zen monks? Zen monk just cited maybe an extra case but the spirit is there.the zen monks were not only democratic,they were willing to employ themselves in all practical ways of life. They were thus economically-minded as well as politically minded.Another departure from the older pattern of monkish brotherhood,whether christian or buddhist or any else. was that the zen monks were not engaged in offering prayers.practising penance or performing other. Zen verbalism First, zen verbalism is quite characteristic of zen.thought it is so completely differentiated from the philosophy of linguistics or dialects.that it maybe not be corrected to apply the term "verbalism" to zen at all.zen verbalism is expresses the most concrete experience. The sword of taia The art of the sword,as I see it. consists in not vying for victory.not testing strength,not moving one step forward or backward.it consists in your not seeing me and my not seeing you.when one penetrates as far as where heaven and earth have not yet been separated.where the yin and yang have not yet differentiated themselves,ones is then said to have attained proficiency. A man who was thoroughly mastered the art does not use the sword and the opponent kills himself.when a man uses the sword he makes it serve to give life to others.when killing is in order,it kills.when giving lifes is the order it gives life.while killing there is no thought of killing,while giving life is there no thought of giving life.for in the killing or in the giving life,no asserted.the man does not see,"this" or "that" and yet sees well what is "this or that."he makes no descrimination and yet knows well what is what,he walk on. The taia is one of the three swords wrought by fukoshi by the order of the king of chu in ancient china.it is noted for its fine qualities and is synonymous with idealized swors as such."you" and "I" not seeing each other,according to tje commentator.means that so long as one stands in the realm of reality one sees no opposites of any kind.because there is yet no differentiation of heaven and earth,the yin (female) and the yang (male).his moves invite opposition and obstruction everywhere and the combat will surely end in his own ruination. What is the meaning all of this? When you have no picture of the hakutaku (in japanese is mythical beast)in your house,you then have no fear of the evil ones.when you come to this wisdom after much self-disciplining,the lifting of single sword will keep the whole world in peace. Zen speaks of the sword of life and the sword of death,and it is the work of great zen master to know when and how to wield either of Abandon all the arts, you have learned in swordmanship.and in one gulp, drink up all the waters of the west river. I thought all the time,I was learning how to win.but I realize now to win is no more no less than to lose. In the well not dug, In the water not filling it.A shadow is reflected And a man with no form,no shadow is drawing water from the well. A man with no form no shadow turns into rice pounder,when he pounds rice. The cherry tree *poems of cherry tree* Unknown and unadmired,even I live on in this world.why do these cherries the pass away so heartlessly from the sight of the admiring crowds. At this late date,no flowers could forget the spring,they will soon be out no doubt.leisurely awaiting then,I would pass this day under these trees. I feel deeply concerned to fund,on which mountaintops.the cherries begin to flower first how I long to see them! To the mountain village,this spring eve.I come and listen to the monastry bell and watching the cherries in bloom,and petals softly falling. The evening is come,I make a lodging under yonder cherry tree.the flower will then be my host tonight. Blooming and then scattering and leaving all the rain and wind,the cherries are no more now but their spirit for ever remains unruffled.
