Hello friends..

How are you? What's up?

There is no coast of that sea!

Algae Sea or Sargasso Sea is a stagnant area in the middle of the sea, where algae and other weeds grow. It is the only 'sea' in the world that has no coast. It is 1,107 km wide and 3,200 km long.

Reasons for creation:

The confluence of several ocean currents results in a circular water cycle. Due to the prevalence of mild air at the junction of ion air and westerly air, the space between the reservoirs becomes currentless and calm. This has created the seaweed sea.

In the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, sea currents, canary currents, and North Equatorial currents rotate clockwise, forming the Seaweed Sea.

In addition, the Japan Stream of the North Pacific Ocean, the California Stream, and the North Equatorial Stream combine to form the Seaweed Sea.

Floating algae, weeds accumulate in stagnant water, and marine plants grow. For this reason it is called Seaweed Sea.

History:

The name Sargasso is derived from the word seaweed or "Sargassum". "Sargassum" in Portuguese means algae. It is thought that the sea became known to people during the 15th century when Portuguese sailors traveled to the island of Azores. But according to some, sailors before the 15th century may have known about this sea. Because the popular 4th century poet Rufus Festus Avienus in his poems suggested that some parts of the Atlantic Ocean were called algae.

It is known from history that Sultan Ali Ibn Yusuf of Almoravid Empire sent a ship to this area in 1090 AD. On board was the famous cartographer Muhammad al-Idrisi. He made a map of the sea. The Sergasso Sea was described as a mine of mystery in many famous novels. The sea is mentioned in the writings of the fourth-century writer Rafas Festus Avenius. In addition to William Hope Hodgson's The Boat of the Glenn Carrig, Victor Appelton's Don Tardy in the Port of Lost Ships, and Jules Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, he wrote numerous novels and stories. There is.

For centuries, the Sea of Sergasso has been a symbol of horror for sailors. It is said that once a European ship sank in the Sea of Sergasso. There were lots of horses on the ship. The horses were being taken for sale. But after the Sergasso entered the sea, the speed of the ship was stopped. The ship was stuck in the algae. The sailors dropped the weight of the ship and threw all the horses into the water to escape.

Features:

Seaweed Sea is the only sea in the world that has no coast.

It is difficult for ships to pass through this sea. In some parts of the sea, the seaweed layer is so thick that ships cannot pass through it. Besides, the ship does not get the help of the current as there is no current of water. When the ship is sailed through these places, the propeller gets stuck due to algae in the propeller of the ship. Ships are stuck in the same place. The crazy wind began to sway. The small boat sinks.

The water density and salinity of this sea is higher than other seas.

This sea is calm, calm.

Due to high temperatures and high evaporation, the seaweed is the saltiest region in the Atlantic Ocean (salinity 36%).

There are different opinions about the origin of weeds in this sea. According to some, they originate on the banks of the Azores and the Bahamas and are carried elsewhere by waves and winds. According to others, these weeds originate in the Gulf of Mexico and from there Gulf currents collect them in the seaweed.

The Bermuda Triangle is located in this sea...
