Saving or more indirect killings?

Some people will think that they are saving something from happening in order to avoid a recasting outcome. But unknowing to them, they are causing more damage than whatever damage that will be caused at first. Earlier this week, a man and his wife were arrested for locking up their son in a confined area for 7 years with days of no food or water. When asked after lawmakers rescued the victim, the boy's parents admitted that they locked him up cos he started engaging in smoking of hemp with other guys. This boy in question is nothing more but a skeleton when he was rescued cos he has been sieving in his urine as water and faeces as food. Now, his parents thought that they are trying to save him from doing drugs but unfortunately, they did more harm to him by rendering him mentally derailed and psychologically down. **What should be done to these parents of his?** image https://camdenkelly.com/common-job-interview-questions-and-answers/
