Hate
Hatred is inherent in human nature. Sometimes people think of the success of others as their own failure and start hating them which is completely wrong but they don't think it is wrong which makes the hatred worse but eliminates the hatred. This is the best way for him not to hate you but to respond with his smile so that his hatred turns into love.
