We called it "bombil" in bisaya and Bougainvillea in English. It is a very popular plant seen mostly everywhere but because of its being simple and common, most of us ignore it. In life, we are looking for something special that is hard to get and find sometimes... but we don't know that the real beauty is in simplicity and it depends on how you look at things beautifully regardless of their appearance.
